Meet the actual dogs the characters are based on
May I introduce Ploppet...
Also known as Kat, yes, the heroine of our stories. She may look a little different, but it's Kat all right.
This is Jack, and Duke is based on this charming lad. Jack loved to go out with his best mate, Toby, alias Oberon. They adored wandering the Moors together.

I did live to a ripe old age,
25 in fact. I looked tons
better in my prime.
Meet Jenny, Jennifer on Sundays, alias Queenie.
She ruled the roost at Kymera.
A wise old girl.
And here we have Stanley. No prizes for guessing who this handsome devil is.
That's right - Valentino.
Jenny 2, the canine dustbin, one of the dim dogs, just like Queenie 2. Sorry Jenny 2.

The dog on the end is Suzy, or Snotty Sue (see Book 2). She always thought she was too grand to have her photo taken, particularly with the other dogs, even Queenie, whom she had a grudging respect for.
